A control system is a device, or set of devices, that manages, commands, directs or regulates the behaviour of other devices or systems. These can either be mechanically or electrically controlled or a combination of the two. Hence there is an element of logic. That is, logically ordering a sequence of events in order to achieve a desired outcome.
In our case, the desired outcome is the operation of a machine or the function of part of a machine. So, armed with this definition we can see that this service goes hand in hand with our control panel expertise, as the design of one affects the other.
How can DJS Electrical and Machinery Services Help me?
OK, so unless we were designing a brand new machine or completely refurbishing an old one (please see our refurbishments page), the need for an outright new control system would be unnecessary. Therefore the chances are you already have the machinery you require in order to manufacture your product, BUT you may be in need of some alterations or the incorporation of a new feature which would therefore require a control system to operate it. This is where we can help. Because we manufacture control systems for machinery, we are familiar with the functionality of your machine and how we can introduce new features whilst maintaining the old ones.
To give some examples, your machine may have push button control and you desire an upgrade to PLC control to decrease cycle time and therefore increase output. Alternatively, you may have a touch screen HMI which is intermittently playing up and you cannot source a replacement due to the part being discontinued. You may therefore wish to resort back to push button control as replacements are readily available.
